Shaun Alexander had one of the best seasons a NFL running back could have in 2005. He led the league in touchdowns and rushing yards - not to mention he helped his team to their first ever Super Bowl appearance. In 2006 the jinx hit, a fractured foot kept him out for 6 weeks. He struggled in the games that he did play, having only 1 multi-touchdown game and 2 games with over 100 yards rushing. His team also did not have the success that they had last year by losing in the NFC divisional play-off game.

Shaun Alexander had one of the best seasThe Rams were a powerhouse in'99, '00 and '01, led in part by Marshall Faulk. 2002 was a different story; they finished 7-9 and missed the playoffs. With a nagging ankle injury throughout the 2002 season, Faulk snapped his streak of consecutive 1,000 yard rushing seasons and hasn't rushed for over a thousand yards since.
