Why People Choose Plasam Televisions
Posted by adminFrom the beginning, when the plasma screen television hit the market, everyone was in awe. It was only natural that people would view the newer televisions, which were thin and flat, over the outdated and bulky ones they were used to buying. Another major benefit of the plasma screen television was that they offered more choices in how they could be integrated into the room. With the new models, the increase in space was an extra benefit, as you could now hoist your television in the air or attach to the ceiling. This method of storage made the plasma screen very popular in showcases because it was handy and did not take up much space.

So what is the technology behind such a radical advancement in the way we enjoy our favorite shows and movies? Images are not produced in the plasma screen television through any cathode ray tubes, or CRT. This CTR is the reason most TV models, before the invention of its plasma counterparts, are big and space-consuming. Instead of CRT, the plasma screen television uses glass components (or “cells”) that are injected with neon-xenon, a gas. Through the plasma, the gas is suspended. And when these phosphors erupt, an image is produced.
It is not uncommon for people to buy a plasma screen television for the size feature. Features can easily have negative consequences for those that are blinded by the positives. You can invest in a plasma screen television that is as “small” as 32-40 inches, or one as large as 61-63 inches, and you might be tempted to fall for the fallacy that “bigger is better”. It’s essential to remember how large the television room is going to be. After all, the sheer size of even the smallest set will be impressive, and it’s important to keep in mind placement when picking a set.
Without sounding naggish, it’s important to point out a few numbers to give you the dangers of sitting too close to the television. If you are getting a set that is around 32 to 37 inches, then you should always keep a distance of six to ten feet. A greater distance of ten to fourteen feet is recommended for people purchasing a 42 to 46 inch television. For people who will buy the plasma measuring 50-inch or more, it is better to stay at a distance of 15 feet. Experts further believe that you should stay back at least 25 feet from any TV that is 60″ or larger.
